Monster High Sleepover

20/01/2013

It was back in March 2012 that I wrote a little post about my daughter’s collection of Barbies (read it here). Well time has moved on, and my daughter’s tastes have moved on too. The Barbie collection has been carefully stored away (for now), and Martha has recently found a much more sophisticated breed of doll . . . . . . . Monster High. And if you have a daughter around the age of 7 or over, chances are that you already know Monster High quite well.  Those clever people at Mattel, have clearly done their research. Not only can you choose from a huge (and growing) range of Monster High dolls, but there are DVDs, books, and a magazine too.

I must say that I’m very impressed with this particular range of dolls. They are beautifully modelled, with moving joints and the most spectacular outfits. They also have pets and each one has quite an interesting back-story. Oh, and did I mention the shoes?  I know I should get out more but they are very eye-catching indeed!

So without further ado, here is the Monster High sleepover, as arranged and displayed by my own little Monster High doll, Martha.  Enjoy!

Monster High Dolls

Draculaua and Lagoona

Draculaura and Lagoona wait patiently for their meals to arrive.

Operetta and guitar

This is one of my favourite Monster High dolls; Operetta with her guitar. I love the victory-roll hair style . . . . . and she has tattoos! She’s soooooo cool!

Frankie Stein

Frankie Stein . . . . . . I think you KNOW who her dad is!

Clawdeen Wolf serves Abbey Bominable at the Coffin Bean Cafe.

Frankie Stein and Clawdeen Wolf

Is your name on the guest list? Frankie Stein and Clawdeen Wolf look hopeful.

And finally, if Martha were ever to go on Mastermind, she’d be a champion! Her knowledge of Monster High knows no bounds. Ask her any question and she can come up with an answer. She knows each doll’s back-story in full, which pet belongs to which doll, what their hobbies are, who their friends and family are etc, etc. She’s such a mine of information on anything Monster High related!

My 8 year old is obsessed with Monster High dolls too – we’ve had MH weddings, parties, cafes the list is endless. Have to say I prefer them to Barbies and yes I too love Operetta, think it’s the red hair and rolls that gets me!! Love the photos by the way, am going to have to show Jodi this post when she gets home from school.

Thanks for stopping by Helen. I wish there was such thing as Monster High when I was that age. Although I have been known to re-arrange them when Martha’s not looking! :-)
