OMG! I’m so in Love! Having seen some of the beautiful designer wear on the catwalks and runways for 2009/10, I’ve suddenly become all doe-eyed and can feel my heart skipping a beat. This years autumn/winter trends have got to be some of the most divine creations I’ve seen yet! My personal trend favourites are:
The Fabulous Forties
Wide shoulders and nipped in waists, peplums, bare backs and lots of girly glamour.

Forties glamour from L'Wren Scott, Chris Benz and Aquilano Rimondi
The High-Flying Eighties
The decade that fashion won’t forget. Lots of Studio 54 nostalgia with metallic leather and acid-wash jeans plus sexy party frocks.

Eighties inspiration from Gucci, Emilio Pucci and Antonio Berardi
The Boudoir
All eyes on the bust, midriff and legs. Corsets and peekaboo clothing.

Boudoir trend from Jonathan Saunders, Alexander Wang and D&G
Ruche Trend
Plenty of luscious fabrics with lots and lots of draping and layers. Fluid evening gowns and red carpet dresses.

Ruche trend from Christian Dior, Altuzarra and Donna Karan
Smart Investments Trend
Camel hair and pinstripes. Classic suits, double-breasted, tweeds, the Chanel suit and the Burberry trench.

Smart Investment trend from Chanel, Christopher Kane and Dries Van Noten
If you haven’t got a few hundred quid to spare, do not fear! Get out to your local vintage boutique or find your inspiration from some of the wonderful vintage online retailers and have yourself some fun!
